Do you want to be good at what you do and survive, or be a master and leave a great legacy? The choice is always yours. These are my questions for myself this morning as I ponder the next steps in my life.
When I do a local art show I get so many great comments! I also get a lot of great comments about the life I have lived, and some who know the full story, think that I could live on the side of the road for the rest of my life and still be a hero, which is why I had to move away! More needs to be expected of me, from my inner self and from those who surround me. My biggest dream is to be great! I want to paint, draw, design something so novel, so beautiful, so futuristic that it sets a new tone for the world. How do I do that? Well, I can tell you that I have one idea, and that one idea is good enough to start my engine. The idea is that we haven’t even tapped into the great possibilities of what there is left to be created in this world. We, as a global race, are still in the dark ages. While jails are being filled with beautiful human beings, while other beautiful people are scraping the floors for their survival, while the few on top get to abuse the rest of us, there is a battle to fight and it’s not going to be fought by last century’s standards and ideology.
Last century was about them being bad and us being good. This upcoming era is about we are all both bad and good, let’s work together to change our world. It’s about bad not being a big F***n deal, and good not being idolized. So what you did crack! Nobody cares! The real question is, what is the state of your soul? Are you well? Is there anything I can do to help?.
People are in jails and prisons for the stupidest things! And when they come out they get double convicted for they are never again accepted into society as a normal, good, dignified human being. Only the very few enlightened ones treat them well–and I mean that on all levels of treating, it has to do with not only what you say to them & what you physically give them, but what you think about them, because it will show in your voice and in your eyes.
I think I have digressed a lot from my original topic. Sorry, it’s early in the morning and I’m not quite awake yet! (My coffee is just kicking in).
So, good or great? If my voice is going to be heard in the world, I can’t sit back on my laurels and expect other people to respect what I say. I have to keep breaking through and reaching new personal and artistic levels. This is the point I am at now. Next level coming up!
PS–I’m publishing and running without first editing because I gotta get to work!
